About
Dr. Magid Al-Araki holds a PhD in Economy and Business Administration from the University of Bordeaux I, France. From the University of Bordeaux II, he holds a diploma of social psychology. He also holds a Norwegian Magister Artium in sociology from the University of Oslo (1983). In 1979 he became a government-authorized translator from NHH, where he also functioned as external examiner for translatøreksamen since 1981.
Before joining the Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HiOA), he functioned as government-authorized translator and as teacher at the University of Oslo (1976–1988), then as advisor at the Directorate of Immigration (UDI, juridisk avdeling) (1988-91).
Dr. Al-Araki is currently working as Professor in Organization and Leadership, at the Department of Public Administration and Leadership at HiOA. He also holds lectures for CIF (Council of International Fellowship) and International students.
