About
Gunhild Vatn is an artist and Associate Professor, and has a MA degree in Ceramic Art at Oslo National Academy of the arts, and a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Design Education. She is teaching ceramics and three-dimensional form at Institute of Art, Design and Drama, where she also teaches Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. She has been teaching and given lectures at art academies and in international conferences. She is a member of the research group Art in Society Research, and her research interests are among others in the field contemporary art, design, applied art, and art in society. Her artwork often deals with social and cultural issues, often with political connotations. She works in various materials and expressions, mainly in porcelain. She has exhibited at Norwegian and International museums and galleries. Her art is represented in several art collections and museums.
