Jana-Verena Gerhart is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Oslo Business School, OsloMet. She holds a PhD in Marketing from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany. Her research focuses on consumer psychology, particularly emotions, creativity, and consumer behavior at the intersection of art and technology. Her work has been published in the International Journal of Research in Marketing, among others.
She is a Fulbright alumna, a Zia Fellow (an initiative of ZEIT Verlag), and was selected for the Falling Walls Female Science Talents program.
Alongside her academic work, she is a trained classical cellist and explores how artistic practices can inform teaching and learning. In collaboration with professional jazz musicians, she develops arts-based learning approaches to strengthen communication, presentation skills, and leadership. At OsloMet, she teaches digital marketing and arts and cultural marketing.
