Jon Helge Sætre

About

Jon Helge Saetre, associate professor in music education. My teaching experience includes teaching music in primary and lower secondary school, in generalist teacher education and in higher music education (Norwegian Academy of Music and University of Oslo). I am also a performing pianist, with several performances and recordings of contemporary chamber music (Oslo Sinfonietta, Affinis Ensemble). My main research interests are music as part of compulsory schooling and generalist teacher education, music and creativity, assessment in music, and music ‘didactics’. I am currently the chief editor of InFormation – Nordic Journal of Art and Research (www.artandresearch.info), an online and open-access journal. And as well the EAS (European Association for Music in Schools) National Coordinator for Norway.
