About

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Development and Peace Studies from the University of Bradford (UK), with a specialization in post-conflict development work and a particular focus on gender equality perspectives. In addition, I have completed further education in student supervision, conflict resolution and mediation methods, and I hold a Master's degree in Couple and Family Therapy and Systemic Practice.

My professional experience spans several fields and sectors. I have a background in policing in Northern England, where I worked with young offenders, network-based interventions, and preventive policing. I also have more than 20 years of experience in the Norwegian Child Welfare Services. Throughout my career, I have held various roles, including child welfare caseworker in both assessment and intervention services, network consultant, supervisor, family counsellor, and field instructor for social work and child welfare students.

In addition, I have worked as a family counsellor for several child welfare services in Norway and as a family therapist in private practice. At OsloMet, my teaching focuses on practice studies, skills training, systems theory, and family work. I am the course coordinator for Work Placement with Ethics and Theory of Science (BV1800) and Professional Interaction in Social Work (SOS1120), and co-course coordinator for Basics in Systemic Perspectives (SFB4100).
