Why such a topic? Why now?
We live in a troubled time, marked by conflicts and war both in our neighboring countries and in countries further afield. Far-right parties with an anti-immigration ideology are emerging in many countries.
We also see Holocaust deniers gaining more ground. That is why it is important that we do not forget history. It can teach us something about how we as professionals and researchers should meet the challenges we face today: both encounters with xenophobic ideologies and encounters with people who have been exposed to war and abuse.

The seminar is open to everyone, no registration is needed but bring your own lunch-bag. We will serve coffee and tea.
