About the programme
Behaviour analysis as a discipline includes experimental, applied and conceptual behaviour analysis – with varied and interesting research questions in all three areas. Behaviour analysis is an academic scientific discipline with the advantage of built-in practical usefulness. It is of high societal importance to have a demonstrably effective technology for promoting behavioural change.
Your workplaces will be in connection with lab groups that are organised around research projects. You will perform an independent research project that forms the basis for a doctoral dissertation and a public defence of this dissertation. This part of the programme constitutes 150 ECTS credits.
All courses are held at Pilestredet Campus in Oslo.

If you are already admitted to one of the faculty's doctoral programmes (Behaviour Analysis or Health Sciences), choose courses and register your participation through the Studentweb.
If you are admitted to a PhD programme at another institution or have completed your master's degree, this is the application process for external applicants.

You will receive advanced training in theories and methods, which will provide a foundation for independent and objective thinking suitable for research in the field of behaviour analysis.
As a graduate from the PhD programme in behaviour analysis, you will be qualified for high-level research and teaching positions in academic institutions. The programme will give you qualifications for applied and clinical work.
