This course aims at providing a thorough grounding in the science and practice of negotiation. You will learn about different types of negotiations and the negotiation techniques to be used in different situations.

    The course subjects are:

    • distributive bargaining
    • preparation for negotiation
    • debate in negotiation
    • a proposal is not a bargain
    • bargaining for an agreement
    • styles of negotiation
    • rational bargaining
    • streetwise manipulation
    • personality and power in negotiation

    The course is case-oriented and active participation is therefore expected from the students.
