European Project Semester (EPS) is a full-time, one-semester programme for final year engineering and technology students. You will solve challenging projects in multidisciplinary and international teams. Supporting courses teach communication in professional English, and project management relevant to the main projects. Teams are supervised and supported through the process.
Admission requirements
This programme is designed for third and fourth year engineering and technology students.
Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the project, students with other educational background may also apply (e.g. Industrial Design Engineering, Architecture, International Marketing, Business and Administration).
Proficiency in English is required.

Content
The European Project Semester (EPS) is an international programme consisting of 30 ECTS credits – 20 ECTS Project Work and 10 ECTS Supporting Courses.
The EPS semester is divided into two parts:
- EPS3900 (student.oslomet.no): A multidisciplinary group project designed to develop students’ initiative, project management skills, co-operation, communication skills and individual creativity. Projects can be within the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design and/or in collaboration with external companies, partners and stakeholders.
- EPS3100 (student.oslomet.no): A study programme comprising two supporting courses (Project Management and Collaboration and Communication in English), which run throughout the semester, as well as workshops.

Costs
There is no semester fee for exchange students.
Exam and assessment
EPS uses a grading scale from A to E, where A denotes the highest grade, E denotes the lowest, and F denotes a fail.
