The libraries in Pilestredet are going to be renovated. Reading spaces will be equipped with power outlets and work lights, and there will be new, fine furniture for the reading spaces, social areas and group rooms.
Library P48 is temporarily closed
Library 48 is closed until the end of January 2024. Unfortunately, the reading spaces, group rooms and books will be unavailable until we reopen in the new year.
The libraries in P35 and P32 will remain open as usual. These libraries will also get new reading spaces during the fall (more information will be provided).
AV Equipment, IT and the Learning Support Centre available
The Learning Support Centre is open as usual. The Centre is now located in the library P32 (3rd floor).
AV Equipment and IT Service Desk are now located in room P372 on the 3rd floor of P48. Service is as usual this semester.

Library P48's books
Library P48's books are unavailable until the end of January next year.
If you have previously borrowed a P48 book, you can keep it until the library P48 opens again. If you would like to return it, P48 books can be returned at the libraries P35, P32 or Kjeller.
Physical books exclusively located in P48 can be ordered from other libraries via Oria.no. In Oria, you can see which books are available and which ones can be requested.
Have you ordered a book with pick up location P48? When the book is ready for pick up, you will receive a text message or an email where you can collect the book at the University Library.

E-books, digital newspapers and magazines
The majority of articles and journals that the University Library subscribes to are accessible from home when you are logged in with your OsloMet username and password. We recommend using VPN when you are outside of OsloMet’s network (student.oslomet.no).
Search for what you need in Oria.no or go via the database list. In addition, Oria provides access to the library's e-books.
Some curriculum/course literature are available online. Via Gyldendal you have access to 55 Norwegian e-books. These cover interdisciplinary subjects such as health sciences, methodology, pedagogy and economics (oria.no). We also have an extensive collection for English-language digital books (oria.no).
Pressreader (oria.no) provides access to a number of Norwegian and international newspapers and magazines.
