Associate Professor (førsteamanuensis/førstelektor/universitetslektor) of vocational pedagogy/professional didactics

Associate Professor (førsteamanuensis/førstelektor/universitetslektor) of vocational pedagogy/professional didactics

There is a 100% vacant, permanent full-time position as Associate Professor (førsteamanuensis, førstelektor or universitetslektor) of vocational pedagogy/professional didactics at the Department of Vocational Teacher Education (YLU) at the Faculty of Education and International Studies relating to the training of vocational teachers in hairdressing, floral, interior and retail design (FBIE) and/or crafts, design and product development (HDP), starting in the autumn 2020 subject to further agreement.

From the 2020–2021 school year, the vocational upper secondary education programme will be split into two programmes. Therefore, the department is looking for more highly competent teacher educators with FBIE and HDP qualifications. Applicants will be assessed by an expert committee. All applications will be reviewed by the faculty before the application papers are forwarded to the expert committee. Applications from applicants who are not qualified, will not be forwarded for assessment.

The salary for the position is in accordance with the pay scale for state employees:

The annual salary range for Associate Professor (førsteamanuensis, position code 1011 or førstelektor, position code 1198) is NOK 532,300– NOK 691,400. The annual salary range for Assistant Professor (universitetslektor, position code 1009) is NOK 456,400 –NOK 594,400. A higher salary may be considered for particularly qualified applicants. A contribution of 2% to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund is deducted from the salary.
