Student assistant at TKD faculty, Oceanlab

OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University is Norway’s third largest university, with more than 20,000 students and 2,000 employees. OsloMet delivers knowledge to solve societal challenges, in close cooperation with the society and employers. OsloMet is an urban and diverse university with a clear international profile, and an attractive place to work and study with campuses in Oslo city centre and at Kjeller in the Municipality of Lillestrøm. Our location in the metropolitan area gives us good opportunities to understand and benefit from the city’s diverse population.

The Faculty of Technology, Art and Design (TKD) offers higher education and research and development (R&D) activities within technical subjects, arts and design. The Faculty has approximately 3.000 students and 280 staff members and is situated at Pilestredet Campus in downtown Oslo and at Kjeller Campus in Viken.

Do you want to make a difference and contribute with academic support to other students?

The students' academic and social study situation has been greatly affected by the pandemic. Most of the teaching has been digital for a long time and the campus has been occasionally closed. All faculties at OsloMet now employ students as part of the Student Package as an initiative from the Ministry of Education. The students will work with academic follow-up of fellow students. The initiative will function as a contribution to good learning outcomes, learning environment and study progression for students at OsloMet. We encourage committed students to contribute to this important work.

The OsloMet Oceanlab is an initiative where innovation, education, research and public actors will together establish a new public arena and a community for ocean technology, sustainability, environment protection and promotion and entrepreneurship. Through the lab, academic, economic, environmental protection, and industrial actors will collaborate to help position the Oslo fjord and Oslo region on the map and provide new synergies between academia, public sector, and the industry at seafront in the heart of the Oslo harbor.
