Art in Education – Building Partnerships with Artists, Schools, Young People and Communities

Kulturtanken – Arts for Young Audiences Norway and OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University invite you to an interdisciplinary conference with focus on young people's experiences with art in school.

The objective of the conference is to establish an interdisciplinary arena for dialogue and knowledge exchange about the significance of art in school. The target groups for the conference are practitioners within the field of education as well as research and education staff within universities and university colleges.

  • Programme

    The programme features paper presentations, panel discussions, artistic performances, cultural activities/excursions and a reception at the Oslo City Hall. See the programme.

  • Registration and conference fee

    The deadline for registration is 30 May.

    Conference fee:

    • NOK 1500 – «Early Bird»  Staff and PhD-students in higher education. For registrations before 15 May.
    • NOK 2500 – Full Price Staff and PhD-students in higher education. For registration after 15 May.
    • NOK 500 – Students (including Master's degree students), staff in ground-level school, self-employed artists.

    The conference fee covers:

    Participation at all lectures and seminars. Political debate Thursday (in Norwegian), visits to a selected institution Friday. In addition: Coffee, tea, snacks and basic lunch served at the premises. Reception in Oslo City Hall on the night of the opening.
