About
Fundi Wandisunga Kayamba-Phiri is a social science researcher and development practitioner with experience in environmental governance, climate adaptation, natural resource management, disaster risk reduction and food security. Her expertise includes strategic learning, research coordination and the use of evidence to inform policy and programme decisions. Her work also addresses community participation, youth engagement and social inclusion.
She is a PhD candidate in Development Studies at OsloMet’s Department of International Studies and Interpreting. Her doctoral research explores the democratic significance of silence in environmental governance in Malawi, examining the relationships between voice, silence, power and participation.
She holds master’s degrees in International Development Studies from NMBU and Diaconia and Christian Social Practice from VID.
