About
I hold a Master's degree in social anthropology from the University of Bergen. My academic interests include medical anthropology, gender, the body and practice. My current Phd project investigates the professional management of endometriosis within a Norwegian hospital clinic. The project explores tensions between pain as a lived experience and how pain is interpreted and managed within a biomedical framework, as well as how the socio-discursive and cultural dimensions of endometriosis are translated, absorbed, and materialised in clinical practice.
