About
I am a political scientist focusing on the relationship between state repression and opposition to authoritarian rule, and how repressive regimes work to undermine political opposition, protest movements, and demands for democracy and rights. My PhD project examines how authoritarian regimes pursue critics across borders, and mechanisms that enable or constrain opposition in exile. The project combines quantitative analysis of targeted exiles across origin-host country pairs with qualitative fieldwork among exile opposition figures in Norway.
