About

Social anthropologist and social and cultural psychologist with several years of experience in the field of integration and migration.

The PhD project examines how the European Union’s New Pact on Migration and Asylum is translated into national policy and implemented in local administrative practices in Germany and Norway. The project focuses in particular on how Norwegian and German bureaucrats translate EU regulations into national laws and guidelines, as well as how border officials apply the new rules in their daily practice and experience the process of implementation.
