Lau Lilleholt Harpviken er førsteamanuensis i organisasjonspsykologi ved OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University og tilknyttet Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science (SODAS) ved Københavns Universitet. Han avla doktorgrad (PhD) i psykologi ved Københavns Universitet i 2021. Forskningen hans omhandler personlighet, beslutningstaking, sosial atferd og organisatoriske utfall, med særlig vekt på å integrere psykologisk teori med beregningsbaserte og datadrevne tilnærminger. Hans metodiske kompetanse omfatter surveyforskning, eksperimentelle metoder, psykometri, kausal inferens, maskinlæring og analyse av storskala administrative og atferdsmessige data.
Forskningen hans har fått internasjonal anerkjennelse og er publisert i ledende vitenskapelige tidsskrifter, blant annet Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Communications, Nature Computational Science, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology og Journal of Experimental Psychology: General.
