I have an arts-based background as a film director, with an extensive experience as a pedagogical leader in early childhood education. As an artist and researcher, I examine how aesthetic and performative practices can contribute to meaningful learning communities, strengthen relationships, promote inclusion, and support professional formation in early childhood settings. My academic interests are particularly focused on aesthetics, play, and children´s participation as foundations for formation, learning and pedagogical development, with an emphasis on research with children.
I work with transaesthetic and arts-based approaches in relation to multiculturalism and diversity, including issues related to language, gender, and sexuality. Furthermore, I explore how visual interventions and film can function as reflective tools in pedagogical documentation, leadership, and professional supervision. I am also concerned with the role of men and care in early childhood education, as well as the sector´s responsibility in addressing children, the body, boundaries, and sexuality from an ethical, pedagogical, and age-sensitive perspective.
