About
I am a university lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, with more than 15 years of experience as an editorial leader in the media industry, including roles at Aftenposten and Budstikka. I teach courses in interview techniques, journalistic craft, and the role of the media in society, combining theory with practical examples and hands-on experience from the newsroom.
My teaching is grounded in a strong professional orientation, and I am particularly committed to strengthening students’ understanding of their professional role and their capacity for critical reflection.
My main areas of interest include digital journalism, news production, breaking news, constructive journalism, news avoidance, young media users, leadership, audience focus, and media business models.
