About
Miriam Abildsnes is a PhD fellow at NOVA, Section for Youth Research. She holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Oslo (2015) and has several years of experience working with education policy and administration in the public sector. Her research interests include social inequality in schooling, cross-sector collaboration, and the living conditions of children and young people. Her work draws on both qualitative and quantitative methods and is informed by an organizational-theoretical perspective.
Miriam is enrolled in the PhD programme at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Oslo, specializing in sociology. At NOVA, she is affiliated with the research project 'The Potential of ‘GameChange’: Supplementary Educational Measures to Facilitate Secondary Education Completion Among At-Risk Youth (GameChanger)'. Her PhD period runs from 2025 to 2029.
