Faggruppen omfatter spisskompetanse innenfor organisasjon og ledelse generelt og innenfor spesielle områder som ledelse av kunst og kultur, ledelse av profesjoner og velferdstjenester, prosjektledelse, belønningsordninger og motivasjon, personalledelse og kommunikasjon i organisasjoner samt ledelse og styring av støttetjenester (facility management).
Innenfor gruppen forskes det blant annet på motivasjon og belønningsordninger, relasjoner mellom leder og medarbeider, organisasjonsklima, virtuelle team, medarbeider- og lederhelse, kjønn og ledelse og arbeidsvilkår for selvsysselsatte.
Gruppen har ansvar for undervisning og veiledning innenfor ledelse generelt og ledelse i spesielle sektorer (som kunst og kultur, facility management, profesjoner), organisasjonspsykologi (herunder kommunikasjon og arbeidsmiljø), personalledelse, prosjektledelse og organisasjonsteori samt samfunnsvitenskapelig metode.
