I am a PhD Research Fellow at the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at OsloMet, affiliated with the AI Media Research Group at NTNU and the Visual and Digital Cultures Research Center (ViDi) at the University of Antwerp. My research interests lie in media and communication studies, visual politics, and image theory, with a particular focus on the relationship between images, digital technologies, and political communication.
My doctoral project examines AI-generated political imagery in Italy, focusing on its visual characteristics, political uses, and circulation across news media and digital platforms. Combining systematic analysis of a large image corpus with in-depth case studies, I investigate recurring patterns of political representation and the ways in which synthetic images are used and circulated in contemporary political communication.
