Monica Lamas will give a a talk titled Epigenetic Triggers in the mammalian Retinal Response to Damage and Aging: searching for Biomarkers from Retina to Tears: an experimental approach to biomarker identification.
Biography
Lamas is a researcher in the Pharmacobiology Department, and Head of the Center for Aging Research at Cinvestav in Mexico City, where she leads a group focused on the analysis of genetics and epigenetic mechanisms of control of gene expression in retinal progenitors and stem cells. She has authored 50 research articles and mentored more than 20 postgraduate theses.
