In a world increasingly characterised by complexity and rapid change, policymakers emphasise that all students in higher education should engage with innovation and entrepreneurship. This reflects a broader understanding that innovative and entrepreneurial competence extends beyond starting new companies. It includes the ability to create value and contribute to economic, social, and environmental development across diverse contexts (Bacigalupo et al., 2016).
At OsloMet, this ambition is clearly supported by the university’s strategic direction. Innovation, value creation and entrepreneurship are identified as central elements in both education and research. The strategy highlights the importance of student-active learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and close engagement with society and working life, providing a strong mandate for further development across faculties.
