Open guest lecture with Vladimir Raevskiy: Russia: Behaviour Patterns in Crisis and Stress. The Perspective of a Historical Journalist

What patterns of behavior have been exhibited by the Russian state and society during existential crises in history?

Using five critical situations as examples, a full-scale dynastic deadlock, a plague epidemic, the surrender of Moscow to Napoleon, and two world wars, historical journalist Vladimir Raevskiy attempts to identify patterns of behaviour exhibited by the Russian state and society during existential crises.

With the current state of affairs, modern Russia faces a significant likelihood of finding itself in a similar predicament once again.
