The courses in English in Teacher Education aim to develop your academic, didactic and practical competence within the areas of language, literature and culture. You will also develop an understanding of the position of English as a second/foreign language and as a world language, and English as the subject in the overall school curriculum. English for school years 1–7 or school years 5–10.

Admission requirements
You must have
- one year of study from teacher education from your home institution
- a minimum of level B2 in English, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

How to apply
International exchange students select courses when applying for exchange.
The application deadline is 15 April for the autumn semester and 1 October for the spring semester.

Courses offered spring 2024:
- M1GEN2100 English 1, Module 1, 15 ECTS (course plan on student.oslomet.no).
- M1GEN2200 English 1, Module 2, 15 ECTS (course plan on student.oslomet.no).
We recommend that students take both courses, as this will provide a full study load of 30 ECTS.
