PhD course

The subject introduces central theories and research traditions in media production, and examines political, economic, social, technological and cultural developments in the media field in the Norwegian and international contexts.

  • Application and admission

    The course is  offered to PhD candidates.
    Application deadline is 25 August.

    • Internal candidates use Studentweb ( and register themselves, or contact the PhD administration.
    • External applicants use Søknadsweb ( Search for Doctoral modules and then Doctoral modules Faculty of Social Sciences.
      The necessary attachments to be loaded into Søknadsweb is:
      Confirmation of admission to a PhD programme
      Short summary, approximately one A4 page, with information about your own PhD project and why this PhD topic is relevant to your project.
