Dr. Alexandros Tzanetos holds a Financial and Management Engineering Diploma (2013) and a Doctoral Diploma in Artificial Intelligence (2020), both from the University of the Aegean, Dept. of Financial and Management Engineering. Currently, he is an Associate Professor (Førsteamanuensis) at OsloMet and an Affiliated Professor with Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada.
Before, Dr. Tzanetos was an Assistant Professor (Universitetslektor) at Jönköping University, Jönköping, Sweden. Previously, he was a Post-Doctorate Research Fellow at Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Financial and Management Engineering, University of the Aegean, Chios, Greece.
His research interests include Nature-Inspired Algorithms, Swarm Intelligence, Operational research, Evolutionary Computing, Machine Learning, and Optimization. He has been an Editorial Board member and the Section Editor in Artificial Intelligence of Data in Brief (Elsevier) journal. He is a member of several associations, such as the Special Interest Group on Genetic and Evolutionary Computation (SIGEVO), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Hellenic Association of Artificial Intelligence (EETN), the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), and the Panhellenic Association of Financial and Management Engineers.
