About
Iris has a background in cultural and urban studies and is currently working on her PhD project in Innovation for Sustainability in which she focuses on creative walking practices as a way of sensing places attentively and carefully, based on an expansion of sense of place theory. She explores how to follow and walk with urban rivers to engage in conversations around the more-than-human in cities by attuning to multispecies and material perspectives. This is part of a larger interest in thinking through what makes us care about and care for the (watery) places we live with.
