About
I am currently employed as a 50% Associate Professor in the SIICHER project, a doctoral program in collaboration with the indigenous universities of URACCAN (Nicaragua) and UAÍIN (Colombia). The project is part of Norad's Norhed program. My academic background is in Spanish and Latin American studies, as well as Univeristy Pedagogy at the University College of Østfold. I also teach Spanish at the Norwegian Foreign Ministry's language section.
Background
I hold a PhD in History and Cultural Studies (2022) where I studied the perceptions of borderland youth on Dominican-Haitian relations. My Master's thesis at UiB also dealt with the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
I have previous work experience from NTNU, former Lillehammer College, Kulturstudier AS, HiØ, UiO, UiB, among others.
