Katarina Sirris Karantonis is a ph.d student at NOVA. She has master degrees in Law and Sosial antropology. Her fields of interest are children´s rights and honor related violence. The topic of her ph.d thesis is transnational protection of children exposed to harm abroad.

This project led by NOVA investigates the Norwegian support services and how they handle conflict/violence in families.

Transnational Protection of Children at Risk in Non-convention Countries
This Ph.D. project focuses on cases where children have their habitual residence in Norway while being at risk in a country which has not ratified the Hague Convention for the protection of Children of 1996.
