About
I am a sociologist specialising in the intersections of migration, labour, and bordering practices. My research explores how non-citizens navigate precarious employment and institutional barriers shaped by both labour and migration regimes. Currently, I hold a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at Oslomet, where I study how digital transformations impact migrant labour. I conduct empirical fieldwork in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Norway. At the same time, with colleagues from the European Trade Union Institute, we develop an analysis that investigates patterns of robotisation and migrant workers’ employment in Europe and the impact of disruptive events such as the Covid-19 pandemic. I aim to develop this focus further by examining how technological change reshapes the boundaries of inclusion and exclusion for migrant workers in European labour markets in specific sectors.
