OsloMet invites individuals with an interest in quantum technology and quantum science to participate, extending beyond traditional scientific communities.
The year 2025 has been designated the “International Year of Quantum Science and Technology” by the United Nations, and this workshop commemorates the 100-year anniversary of the scientific theory of quantum mechanics.
The workshop brings together leading researchers and artists who will present visualizations in quantum physics and explore connections to philosophy, dissemination, art, and popular culture.
Topics include:
- The use of visualizations to communicate quantum physics to students and the general public.
- Philosophical questions that remain unresolved within the foundations of quantum mechanics.
- The role of quantum physics in technology, art, and popular culture.
The presentations are designed to be accessible to a broad audience and require little to no prior knowledge of quantum physics.
A detailed program will be published later.
If you are one of the contributors, you do not need to register.
Please note that if the number of registrations exceeds the number of participants we can accommodate, we may prioritize those who are attending the entire workshop. If this impacts your participation, we will notify you well in advance.
The event is free of charge.
Come and see how art and science combine to create new perspectives on quantum physics!
