Programme
13.00-13.45: Session 1: Reciprocal Peer Observation as a Tool for Teacher Learning
Reciprocal Peer Observation (RPO) is a team teaching model in which two teachers observe each other and exchange feedback. Research involving 400 in-service teachers from Catalonia and the Balearic Islands shows that RPO can enhance collaborative perceptions, reduce resistance to observing and being observed, and increase professional closeness. It can also foster reflective dialogue during feedback sessions, support the setting of improvement goals, and facilitate their transfer into teaching practice. Despite its potential, RPO remains underutilised in schools.

14.00-15.00: Session 2: An International Exploratory Study of Teachers’ Perceptions of Their Own Learning-by-Teaching Opportunities
Learning by teaching finds considerable research with students, but it remains largely unexplored when it comes to teachers. This exploratory study aims to report teachers' perception of their own learning-by-teaching opportunities in six domains of teacher knowledge across the three phases of teaching, and to identify variables that may affect such perception, based on a questionnaire administered to 127 teachers from China, Norway, Mexico, and the Catalan Countries.
