Some may find it strange and perhaps scary that children in Norwegian kindergartens are outdoor all year round and in all kinds of play, but there are many advantages to being outside.
The children can move more freely, shout loudly, breathe fresh air and explore bugs and plants in their element. If kindergarten teachers engage children in outdoor play, many children thrive.
