Thirty-nine candidates have completed their doctoral training at OsloMet between 5 November 2025 and 5 May 2026. They were honoured during a formal ceremony in the Great Hall at the Pilestredet campus on Wednesday, 3 June.
Thirty of the new doctors were present to receive their diplomas.
OsloMet's three new honorary doctors, who were appointed in September last year, were also honoured during the conferment ceremony, including academic seminars and the awarding of diplomas.
Nobel Peace Prize laureate and journalist Maria Ressa, and the acclaimed Swedish Sámi artist Britta Marakatt-Labba were present, while WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus participated digitally from Geneva.
