Members of the unit teaches and conducts research on topics such as childhood, upbringing, family life and the life course, migration, parenting practices, violence and sexual abuse, neglect, care orders, professional dialogues, relational work, children’s participation, and documentation in child welfare services.
This includes a diversity perspective that emphasizes, among other things, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and multicultural belonging. Developmental-psychological, systemic, and family-therapeutic perspectives are central.
Members of the unit teach in the educational programs in social work, child welfare, and family therapy.
