The group serves as a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing in public health with participation from students, staff, and networks.
We develop new knowledge in the following research areas:
- School health and participation
- Occupational health and participation
Our mission is to contribute to increasing participation in school and work.
We want to commit to reducing the number of:
- Pupils dropping out of school
- Adults with participation problems (on sickness benefits, AAP, and disability pension)
- People who want to participate but stand outside school and work
- Young people on disability pension
- NEETs – youths that are neither in education, employment, nor training.

More about the research group
In this group, there is a short distance between research, translation, implementation, innovation, and education.
We therefore use a range of methods in our research:
- Qualitative studies: From qualitative in-depth studies to large-scale interviews and expert studies.
- Quantitative design: Clinical and epidemiological studies, such as RCT and cost-effectiveness analyses.
- Secondary research: Systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
- Implementation research and knowledge translation: In close collaboration with practice and policy, we prepare the research for use in practice and policy, where e-health approaches are often used.
- Education: We offer courses and further education based on our research.
We develop complex and often digital interventions and assessment methods and educate practitioners within these methods.
