The collaborative project will contribute to strengthening, reconstruction and long-term development of higher education in Palestine, with a focus on early childhood education (ECE).
As a result of war, destruction and loss of academic communities, higher education in Palestine faces serious challenges in 2025-2026.
This is particularly true for early childhood education and care (ECE), which is experiencing digital vulnerability and limited access to research, networks and up-to-date knowledge.
In this project, cooperation aims to contribute to the strengthening, reconstruction and long-term development of higher education in Palestine.
Kindergarten teacher education programmes have a particular need for capacity building in the areas of psychosocial support, inclusive pedagogy and play, and learning environments. At the same time, strengthening research, digital learning methods and collaboration with external partners is crucial.
The needs are well documented and confirmed through the Palestinian Authority, universities and international reports.
The working group in the project aims to establish a sustainable collaboration between Norwegian and Palestinian institutions. The goal is to develop a competitive Erasmus+ CBHE application by 2027.
Planned activities include workshops, network meetings, joint project development and application writing. The working group will also develop specific teaching offers within ECE.
