During the online application process, you upload all the documents that are required for your application. They have to be scans of the original documents, preferably PDF files. You have to submit all required documents within the deadline. The last date for submitting/receiving documents is 1 November.
Documents to submit
It is your responsibility to ensure that all submitted documents are accurate and unaltered. Wrong or misleading information may lead to dismissal.
Submission of fraudulent documents is illegal, and will be reported to the proper authorities. Please note that we reserve the right to contact institutions, associations and government agencies for the purpose of explanation and/or verification of submitted documents.

Special documentation requirements per country
Special documentation requirements apply to certain countries. If your education is from one of these countries, your application will only be considered if you fulfill the requirements listed below.
In addition to fulfilling the special documentation requirements, you need to upload your scanned copies to the online application form in Søknadsweb.
Due to difficulties in verifying documents from certain countries, OsloMet might have to reject applicants from the following countries: Afghanistan, Congo DRC, Iraq, Liberia, Libya, Yemen, Sierra Leone and Somalia. Residents in Norway with their education from the above-mentioned countries may contact Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (hkdir.no) for recognition of previous education.

Bangladesh
Your application will only be considered if you have a final bachelor's degree certificate. If you have completed your degree and not received your final degree certificate, we will consider your provisional/temporary certificate if you also upload a letter from the university confirming completed degree and explaining the reason why you have not yet received your final diploma.

Nigeria

If you have not yet received a final bachelor's degree certificate, you must submit a Success Certificate / Attestation of Results. It must be clear from your transcript when the degree was conferred. We do not accept Success Certificate / Attestation of Results older than 5 years.

Pakistan
Your higher education documents must be verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan in 2009 or later.
Upload copies of your original documents including the HEC-verification stamp.

Philippines
Higher Education: Academic transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to the OsloMet Admissions Office by mail.

Russia
Higher Education: Russian higher education documents issued in 2011 or later must be apostilled under current rules set by Rosobrnadzor. This certification is carried out by select government offices in Russia. Please refer to Rosobrnadzor's webpage for details. (NB: We do not accept Apostille from judicial authorities, public notary or other offices not referred to by Rosobrnadzor).

Bachelor’s degree
A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent undergraduate degree, and a transcript of records are required for all applicants.
Upload these documents:
- Your bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate education diploma/certificate. Name the PDF file(s) bachelor.
- Your bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate education diploma supplement or other documentation of grading system (grading scale). We need this information in order to calculate your grades. Name the PDF file(s) supplement.
- The transcript of records from your bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate education. Name the PDF file(s) bachelortrnscr.
If you have a master’s degree or another postgraduate degree, you should also upload these documents:
- Your postgraduate diploma. Name the PDF file(s) master.
- The transcripts of records from your postgraduate degree or other additional higher education. Name the PDF file(s) mastertrnscr.
If you are completing your current degree after the application deadline and do not need a visa to come to Norway, you may submit your final diploma and transcripts within 1 July.
Please note that bachelor’s degrees from some countries may not be recognised as equivalent to a Norwegian bachelor’s degree. Significant differences between the systems of education in Norway and the country of origin may have as a result that only parts of the foreign education is recognised as equivalent to Norwegian higher education. The list of requirements for Higher Education Entrance Qualification for Persons with Foreign Education - The GSU List (nokut.no) is a guiding tool for deciding whether a full or partial recognition can be granted.

English proficiency
You need to document your English proficiency. You are required to upload your own copy of your test results. Name the PDF-file(s) English.
Some applicants are exempted from taking an English proficiency test.
For applicants who are exempted from the test: In order to get a "complete" application, you need to submit proof of English, even if you don't need a test, for example by submitting your secondary education. -
Passport
Upload a copy of only the ID page of your passport. Name the PDF file(s) passport.

Documents for the Product Design Master's Degree
If you apply for the Product Design Master's, you have to upload your portfolio and a letter of motivation.

Translations
If the language of the original document is not English, you have to upload an official translation made by an authorised translator. Name the PDF file(s) –trnsl. (bachelortrnscr-trnsl etc.).
You do not need to submit a translation of your secondary education documents, even if the original language is not English.
