Semester programme in emergency medicine

For exchange students

This semester programme is part of the bachelor's degree in paramedic sciences, welcoming student enrolled in health related fields of study focusing on emergency medicine. The programme emphasises the assessment and treatment of acute sick and injured patients, and also gives you the opportunity to choose between electives based on your field of interest. The faculty houses Norway's oldest bachelor's programme in paramedic sciences.

You will participate in theoretical courses together with local students and other exchange students. Students joining us for a full semester will follow 3 to 6 courses for a total of 30 ECTS. Depending on course selection the semester will start between mid-January and mid-February. You are also welcome to join us for a shorter stay, and only follow some of the courses. The start date will then vary depending on your academic and practical needs. Please contact us for guidance on designing your semester.  In addition to the course specific content, you will learn to collaborate in international teams and improve your English language skills.

  • Admission requirements

    You must be admitted to a bachelor's programme in the field of health or social sciences.

  • How to apply

    International exchange students select courses when applying for exchange.

    Application deadline: 1 October.

  • Costs

    There is no semester fee for exchange students.
