About
Dan is Associate Professor of Finance at Oslo Business School (Oslomet) and Research Associate at Centre for Corporate Governance Research (BI). She received her Ph.D. in Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam and was a visiting scholar at NYU Stern School of Business. Prior to joining OsloMet, she worked at the Department of Finance at BI Norwegian Business School.
Her research interests span household finance, corporate finance, and corporate governance. Her work has been published in leading journals such as Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, and International Business Review. She has received research funding from Finansmarkedsfondet, the Research Council of Norway, and the Centre for Corporate Governance Research.
Her research on executive compensation was featured in the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and received the Highly Commended Paper Award at the International Conference on Corporate Governance. She also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Corporate Governance Insights.

This project studies to what extent firm policies are affected by managers’ personal assets allocation, asset allocation, and founders' opportunity cost.
