About
Helge Renå holds a degree in political science, with a particular research focus on public policy and administration, encompassing governance, organizational structures, crisis management, coordination, and evaluation. He authored the scholarly monograph Crisis Management from an Organizational Perspective (Renå 2022) and contributed the fifth and final volume to the multi‑volume series on the history of Norwegian policing, The People’s Police? Norwegian Police 1994‑2025 (Renå 2025). In addition, he has published numerous national and international journal articles and book chapters. Renå served on the public investigative inquiry that evaluated the police and the Norwegian Security Service’s (PST) response to the 2019 terrorist attack in Bærum. Currently, he leads a project commissioned by the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion aimed at identifying effective solutions for future large‑scale refugee arrivals.
