About
I am an Associate Professor of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the Department of Primary and Secondary Teacher Education at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet). My academic background includes teacher education for grades 5–10, sport psychology and mental training, as well as a master’s degree examining para-athletes’ pathways to elite sport.
I hold a PhD in Educational Sciences from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). My doctoral research examined characteristics of, and factors influencing, children’s motor behavior in virtual reality (VR). My research and teaching interests are broad and include lifelong motor development, risk management and play, physical education, and sport. I am particularly interested in how movement, play, and different learning environments can contribute to children’s development, learning, and participation.
My teaching experience spans lower secondary school, upper secondary education, and the university and higher education sector. At OsloMet, I teach and supervise students in primary and secondary teacher education, as well as in teacher education in practical and aesthetic subjects for grades 1–13, with a focus on physical education and sport sciences.
