About

Santiago Quinteros is a Senior Specialist at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) in Oslo, Norway, Research Advisor at the Geo-Data and Technology Department at NGI, and as Assistant Professor as the Metropolitan University of Olso in Norway. He obtained his bachelor's in civil engineering in Switzerland, moved to Vancouver, Canada for his masters in geotechnical engineering, and later to Imperial College London for his PhD. Santiago has broad experience working both for industry and research in topics related to offshore engineering, field investigations, mine tailings, development of new methodologies and sensors, foundation design, advanced laboratory testing on terrestrial and extraterestrial simulants. Santiago has international working experience on many large-scale projects around the globe.

The focus of his research is the characterization of geomaterials, advanced laboratory testing and field characterization of soils, 3D-CT image analyisis, among other interests.
