First Ph.D. in intelligent health

Pedro Lancastre is the first Ph.D. in intelligent health at OsloMet, and he will be joining the Nordic Center for Sustainable and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (NordSTAR).

Pedro Lancastre will start the first Ph.D. in Intelligent Health at the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design (TKD) on April 1st, 2021.

He will study the dynamical laws behind eye movements, using tools from stochastic modeling, and he will combine those with machine learning algorithms to approach possible diagnosis of early stages in dementia. Part of the data to be analyzed will be collected with our eye-tracker at OsloMet AI Lab.

Pedro will work with his supervisors, Sergiy Denisov, Anis Yazidi and Pedro Lind, members of the core team in NordSTAR and Professors at the Department of Computer Science.
