This project co creates, pilots, and shares student active, integrated learning approaches in the first year to support students’ transition into physiotherapy studies and promote supportive learning environments.
The project is a new educational development project within the I SAIL network (Nordic Initiative for promoting Student Activities for Independent and Lifelong Learning in Physiotherapy).
We SAIL focuses on first year challenges in physiotherapy, including high dropout, the need for clear support during the transition into studies, and more collaborative learning environments.
The aim is to ease the transition into higher education, improve engagement and self efficacy, strengthen practice relevant skills, and share experiences that lead to lasting improvements.
Building on I SAIL (Nordplus 2020–2023), students and educators work together to co design, pilot, and evaluate student active, integrated learning initiatives. Examples include PAL study groups, inclusive learning activities, new teaching and learning methods, and digital resources.
