Evaluation and Follow-up Research on Measures Against Youth Crime in the City of Oslo

The research project will provide knowledge about measures for preventing youth crime in the City of Oslo.

The research will contribute knowledge about how, and to what extent, the various measures implemented for children and young people in two districts of Oslo help to prevent and reduce crime.

We are particularly interested in whether the measures strengthen individual young people and families, and whether they contribute to a better youth environment in the district. The study places emphasis on how the children and young people themselves experience the measure, and their assessments of whether it has helped them and whether the help feels safe and useful.

The research commission is carried out by researchers from NOVA – Norwegian Social Research and NIBR – Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University.
