NIFU, OsloMet and Fafo are carrying out a research-based evaluation of the renewal of vocational subjects, commissioned by the Norwegian Directorate of Education.
Vocational subject reform is a separate part of the more comprehensive reform "Subject reform", which is a larger reform that will introduce new curricula throughout basic education. The reform of vocational subjects includes the introduction of new curricula, but is also a structural reform in which the educational programs at upper secondary school have been changed, including the introduction of new programs and subjects.
The evaluation examines the implementation and implementation of the reform. Including mapping of teachers' and instructors' practice and pupils' and apprentices' perception of the reform. The evaluation also includes an analysis of completion of upper secondary education, including transition to working life.
